BENNALLDRA WILLIAMS

REHEARSAL DIRECTOR & MOVEMENT COACH

Bennalldra Williams is a performer, facilitator, and passionate advocate for movement. Her belief in the body's wisdom and its storytelling power has led her to perform with renowned companies including Alabama Ballet, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, and the New York-based Urban Bush Women, where she began as a company member in 2006 and spent six seasons as part of the touring ensemble. During this time, she had the privilege of learning from and being coached by founder Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, an experience that profoundly shaped her artistic practice.

Drawing on her extensive performance career, Bennalldra has combined her BFA in Dance and Exercise Science with certifications in Gyrotonic, Pilates, the Franklin Method, and the Neurology of Movement to help artists and movers connect with their bodies and be sustainable stewards of their craft. Her vision for everyone to be Balanced, Optimized, Vibrant, and Expressive inspired the creation of Bové—her integrative movement practice that explores the intersection of movement science, education, art as healing, and activism.

She is currently the Rehearsal Director and Movement Coach for Urban Bush Women.
