Igniting Triumph and Truth

“Movement becomes a message for the Urban Bush Women dance company when cultural knowledge, lived experience, and modern-day struggle are intertwined with purposeful expression.”

Lewiston Tribune

Urban Bush Women (UBW) brings Fire & Soul: Igniting Triumph and Truth, an evening of bold life-affirming dance works that traces a throughline from the dreams of our ancestors to present-day resistance — rejoicing the fullness of “Being” in our communities in all of their expansive forms. The evening brings forth and confronts the truths of our histories woven into the fabric of our nation. Through Fire & Soul, we celebrate the beauty, strength, and unstoppable brilliance carried forward by generations who refuse to be overlooked.
