OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

Ameeya Singh is a multifaceted movement artist currently based in New York City. Her work spans choreography, performance, photography, and writing. She has presented solo and collaborative works at various venues, including Laguardia Performing Arts Center with Mare Nostrum Elements’ Emerging Choreographer Series 2023 and Tishman Auditorium at The New School for the Next Festival of Emerging Artists, among others. She has been blessed to work closely with contemporary luminary, Sidra Bell, as a choreographic mentor in her recent projects. Ameeya graduated magna cum laude from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in 2020 with a BA in dance and nutritional biochemistry. She is a recipient of the CWRU Department of Dance full-tuition scholarship and the Vera Orlock Award for excellence in dance. Her recent work centers how belonging, ancestry, and womanhood manifest in the body. Ameeya is thrilled and honored to play a role in furthering UBW’s mission as the Operations Assistant!
