Danielle M. Davis is a professional dancer and writer based in New York City. She was drawn to Urban Bush Women for their courageous storytelling, innovative movement practices, and interdisciplinary approach to community engagement. After having the opportunity to work as an intern in UBW's archival department, she fell deeper in love with the incredible history and legacy of Urban Bush Women. In her new role as Assistant Archivist, she hopes to put her storytelling capabilities and her experience as a dancer to good use and help make the archives accessible to larger audiences. In addition to working in the archives, she is also currently completing a Masters degree in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship at The New School.
