ACTING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Tahnia Belle is a Haitian-American arts leader, cultural producer, artist, meditation teacher, and mother. For over twenty years Tahnia has led social impact and leadership development projects for public and nonprofit institutions including City University of New York, Africa-America Institute, Columbia University and Urban Bush Women (UBW). Her career has spanned the fields of international programs, higher education scholarship management, consulting, and the arts.

Tahnia is passionate about the arts and culture. Her vision includes artists and organizations of color thriving with the support they need to share our stories and tell our truth. As an artist, Tahnia explores theater, poetry, movement, and spirituality. Tahnia is founder of Belle Practice, mindful leadership consulting and meditation teaching practice, and the co-founder of SunnEvents, a lifestyle and socially conscious events company.

She is an alum of UBW’s Summer Leadership Institute and a member of Artists Co-Creating Real Equity as well as Women of Color in the Arts. Tahnia is a cohort member of 2020 TCG Rising Leaders of Color Program and 2021 NYFA Incubator for Executive Leaders of Color. Tahnia is a certified meditation teacher with The Path, holds a double BA in Geography & Africana Studies from Hunter College, and MPA in Nonprofit Management from University of Colorado/Denver.
